My son has seen Dr. Sherman and Dr. Balhoff, and they both spent a lot of time explaining why he needed braces, but I did not feel like they were trying to push us to get him braces. Both orthodontists and all their staff members at both clinics have been over the top kind and knowledgeable.

Was in an accident Dec 27 in BR on Perkins with my daughter and a deer comes out of nowhere and hits us smashing car hitting my daughter on her face/jaw area and out of the blue David balhoff shows up on scene and has his wife bring clothing for my daughters blood soaked clothes and exrays her face and jaw at first I was defensive not understanding that God had sent dr. David in our path to help us and sent her to a plastic surgeon near by to get her stitched up properly. Dr. David was our angel today and I will never forget his patience kindness and love to help people. So thankful to he his wife and son who was present and willing to serve others. Thank you 🙏

Having my daughter has a patient of Dr. Sherman and Balhoff was a no brainer! He was my orthodontist with I was in high school and provided ortho care for my sisters and both parents. The family feel, personal touch and availability to reach our doctor any time is such a comfort! The fun staff and the patient perks make it a welcoming and comfortable environment for kids and adults!

I took my daughter for a consultation and the back to get her braces installed. Dr. David Balhoff and Taylor were so nice and friendly. Dr. David is very knowledgeable and he was so patient with my daughter, who has special needs. That made me feel so good and my daughter very comfortable! Everyone that we came in contact with were also nice and friendly. The wait time was not long at all which was an A+ for me. Also had to take my daughter back because a brace was rubbing against her inside jaw on both sides. I called the after hours number and was able to take her the same day and they removed the two braces that were aggravating her. Overall we had a great experience and I would recommend Sherman and Balhoff Orthodontists to anyone who wants or needs braces.

I was very nervous about getting braces as an adult. But I could not have imagined a better experience! From the day they put them on to today when they took them off. Everytime I had a question or concern about how my teeth were moving, a wire poking, etc. They were quick to answer or get me in the office to make sure I was satisfied with everything. I was always seen at the exact time of my appointment. Never felt uncomfortable as an adult going in. And when I had them removed today, everyone in the office was so supportive and just as excited as I was about me getting them off. I saw Dr. Balhoff and he was great. He made sure I was happy with my smile and how everything looked before I left without the braces on. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would.

Great place! They are quick and very friendly.The doctors genuinely care about their patients and take time to talk to us//small talk.. most orthodontist in Baton Rouge are rushed & could care less with having a conversation with us patients.. so that is my favorite part about going in. All the assistants are fantastic. Sweet girls! I am very happy I decided to go with Sherman & Balhoff for my Invisalign treatment!

Braces are expensive and time consuming. S&B spent time explaining to me exactly what treatment was needed. The doctors are present. they work in teams to provide continuity of care. My daughter says they have never talked down to her using baby talk. The customer service this last year and a half has been consistently superior. scheduling is easy. everyone is friendly and folks seem to really like their jobs. they put effort in to getting apathetic tweens to do proper dental care. everything about our experience has been 5 star.

Dr Sherman Sr provided an extremely thorough initial consultation complete with photos and xrays and provided recommendations for treatments for our 3 older kids. After appliances were put on, doctor personally called next day to check up. Everyone is so professional, kind and helpful and caring. My daughter got braces put on by Dr. Stephen Jr. The facilities are well kept and the staff is very warm and attentive. The doctor took time out of schedule to call and check on my baby 2 days later and that meant everything to us. It just confirmed that you guys are great, professional and make it more than a business. I'd recommend you guys to anyone.
