Teeth Whitening That’s  Safe, Convenient, Fast

Philips Zoom Teeth Whitening is an increasingly popular treatment because it’s fast and highly effective for most patients. Philips Zoom Teeth Whitening is designed to lighten the color of your teeth without harming your teeth or gums.

To begin your whitening treatment, the current shade of your front teeth will be assessed and recorded. In preparation for your treatment, a plastic retractor will be placed in your mouth to help keep your teeth isolated. The soft tissues of your mouth (i.e., lips, gums, cheeks, and tongue) will then be covered to ensure they are not exposed to either the gel or the light. You will be provided glasses to protect your eyes.

Once these preparations are complete, a whitening gel will be applied and your teeth will be exposed to the Zoom lamp light for three (3), 15-minute intervals (possibly four (4) if needed) during your treatment session. Once this process is completed, the retractor, gel, and tissue coverings will be removed. The shade of your front teeth will once again be assessed and recorded.

Our orthodontists recommend that existing oral issues be treated before beginning  any whitening procedure. Zoom whitening treatments are not intended to lighten artificial teeth, caps, crowns, veneers or porcelain, composite or other restorative materials, and that these types of restorations may need to be replaced at your expense to match newly whitened teeth.

Post treatment, we advise you to avoid certain foods and beverages or consume them in moderation to avoid staining your teeth. This includes tea, coffee, red wine, soft drinks, and tobacco. You should not eat or drink anything for 30 minutes following your treatment.

Take Home Tray Whitening Gel

We offer Philips Zoom! Nite White. It’s 22% Carbamide Peroxide. It comes with 3 syringes of whitening gel. You need bleaching trays or TTs to place a small dot into each tray on teeth 5-5.

You can wear for 2-4 hours but most people start having sensitivity around the 30min to 1 hour mark, so we make them aware if they start to have any sensitivity to stop whitening and continue in 24 to 48 hours to allow sensitivity to stop.

You can use gel daily until the desired whiteness. Then do once or twice a month to maintain. The cost is $29 for the whitening gel. Or $179 for trays and gel.
